A dated record of real changes to PlainRecovery's dataset and site: data refreshes, enrichments, and corrections. See the editorial & corrections policy for how reports are verified. We never backfill or invent an entry, an empty gap between dates means nothing changed.

PlainRecovery launched on March 9, 2026 with SAMHSA's National Substance Use and Mental Health Services Survey data, and was most recently refreshed on July 11, 2026. See the methodology page for how the dataset is built.

  1. Trust

    Added a contextual "report a data issue" link to every data page, pre-addressed and pre-filled with the page you came from, so corrections take one click instead of a blank email.

  2. Enrichment

    Rebuilt low-facility-count city pages with a real state-vs-city comparison (rather than a generic template) so small cities read as genuinely distinct pages, and fixed a facility-page tooltip that could overflow the viewport on mobile.

  3. Data refresh

    Refreshed the full facility dataset against SAMHSA’s National Substance Use and Mental Health Services Survey (N-SUMHSS).

  4. Correction

    Removed several fabricated statistics from guide pages, including an incorrect Texas facility count and an incorrect telehealth-availability figure, replacing them with figures computed live from the database.

  5. Enrichment

    Set single-facility city pages to noindex,follow rather than index them as thin near-duplicates of their one listed facility, and corrected an overstated facility-count figure on the homepage.

  6. Launch

    PlainRecovery launched with SAMHSA N-SUMHSS data covering 17,974 substance use and mental health treatment facilities across all 50 states, DC, and U.S. territories.
