What these labels mean on a SAMHSA profile
Accreditation and licensure are the oversight labels attached to a SAMHSA listing. Two facilities can offer the same listed services under different accreditors. A missing accreditation badge is not a quality grade if the facility is state-licensed; it is a missing field on this extract.
Read the source-data semantics on our methodology page.

According to the SAMHSA N-SUMHSS 2024 release, this rebuild lists 17,974 facilities. Term definitions are labels used on those profiles, not inspection scores. See our methodology. Always confirm details directly with a facility before relying on them.
Every figure on PlainRecovery is rendered directly from SAMHSA's published N-SUMHSS facility data, no number is typed in by an editor. See our editorial standards & corrections policy, the methodology behind these facility listings, or report a data error. Data current as of 2024 N-SUMHSS release.
