How this estimator works
We combined Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) coverage policy summaries, state Medicaid plan amendments, and the SAMHSA N-SUMHSS payer-acceptance fields to build a payer-by-service likelihood matrix. Each combination returns one of four bands: Typically covered, Often covered with prior auth, Sometimes covered (state-dependent), and Rarely covered.
